Emerging Contaminants: Tires and Pesticides

Since its inception in the 1980s, telematics has grown from a basic diagnostic tool to a robust form of technology that provides a wealth of information for fleet operations. This presentation will provide an overview of hRecently, two new emerging contaminants in tires and pesticides have been in the news for their potential environmental impacts. Known as 6PPD-quinone and DCPA, these contaminants have been manufactured for many years and may be ubiquitous in the environment. Regulators have taken notice and have started to study their environmental and human health effects. Additionally, regulations have been issued that will impact various businesses.   Our presentation will provide an overview of these two emerging contaminants, their potential environmental impacts, their potential human health impacts, and how these contaminants will impact the insurance industry from a loss control and claims perspective. Key takeaways from this webinar include: •The potential environmental and human health risks that may apply to specific accounts   •How to determine whether the emerging contaminants are present or absent •How regulators are addressing these contaminants •What steps should be taken if a release or alleged human health impact has occurred
