Accelerate Action: Power of Knowledge for Women in Insurance (An International Women’s Day Event)

About
Join The Institutes CPCU Society for a special event in honor of Women’s History Month and International Women's Day, a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. This year the Society will host a conversation focusing on how comprehensive education - from formal degrees and designations to mentorship programs and hands-on training - can #AccelerateAction to positively impact women's advancement in the insurance industry. Inspiring women Teresa Chan, director of the Master’s in Insurance Management program at Columbia University, and Marisol Schulte, senior consultant in Personal Lines Insurance Strategic Planning at TransUnion, will share their experiences, insights, and advice in a discussion moderated by Cindy Baroway, executive director of the Risk Management and Insurance program at the University of Colorado Denver Business School. Through exploring both traditional and innovative professional development pathways, including leadership workshops, industry-specific skills training, and peer learning networks, the presenters will examine strategies to create meaningful opportunities for women to grow and succeed throughout their insurance careers.
