Widening the Lens on Human Trafficking
According to the International Labor Organization, nearly 50 million people worldwide are affected by forms of human trafficking, including forced labor, commercial sexual exploitation, and forced marriages. In this session, we will explore the potential P&C exposure pathways related to human trafficking in the United States. Industries like domestic work, agriculture, and construction have historically been vulnerable to forced labor in the U.S., while supply chains supporting the ever-growing tech industry continue to risk exposure to different iterations of compelled work. Key takeaways from this webinar include: •The impact on forced labor of migration across the U.S.-Mexico border •How the demand for generative AI products could increase forced labor in supply chains •Recent trends in human trafficking-related litigation and legislation Implications for P&C exposures
